Option 1
Lid and base (two-piece)
Separate lid and base, the most common rigid construction. Lid depth can be shallow for a book-style look or deep for full coverage.
Box type
A rigid box holds its shape after the lid comes off, which is why it is the default choice for gift sets, limited editions and anything sold at a premium price. We build the board thickness, wrap, insert and finish around the product inside it, then produce the run against the sample you approve.
Not on the list? The construction does not change — the board, insert and finish do. Send the product details and we will tell you which of these options fits.
Each option changes the dieline, the assembly time and the unit cost. We quote the two that fit your brief rather than all four.
Option 1
Separate lid and base, the most common rigid construction. Lid depth can be shallow for a book-style look or deep for full coverage.
Option 2
Lid attached along one edge, opening like a book. Works well for flat products and printed inserts.
Option 3
A neck insert makes the lid sit on a step, so lid and base align precisely at the seam.
Option 4
PET or PVC window set into the lid, for products that should be visible before opening.
Material and finish are specified per project and confirmed on the sample. Where a material claim matters — recycled content, plastic-free insert — the specification states what the material is, so the claim can be checked rather than assumed.
Fixed specification, then dieline, then sample, then bulk — in that order.
Product, quantity, channel and date fixed. Itemised quote issued.
Dieline PDF issued with your artwork placed and finishing marked.
3–5 days, to check design, colour and finish.
7–10 days, on bulk board and process. Signed off as the reference.
15–22 working days after approval, with inspection and packing data.
500 pcs per size. If one design ships in three sizes, each size carries its own 500 pcs minimum because each size needs its own dieline and cutting plate.
Yes. The wrap can be printed on both faces, so the interior shows artwork when the lid is lifted. This is common for gift sets where the first thing a buyer sees is the inside of the lid.
A digital printed sample takes 3–5 days and is used to confirm design, colour and finishing combinations. A production-run sample takes 7–10 days and is made on the same board and process as the bulk order.
Yes. We issue the dieline as a PDF after the specification is fixed, and we fill your artwork into it with finishing positions marked before sampling.
